Women and Girls Safe Spaces Project

This evaluation was commissioned to Scruples Research by Corus International to assess the “Protect Her: Promoting Resilience, Opportunities and Thriving Environments – Creating Safe Spaces in Kharkiv, Chernihiv, and Sumy” project, with a specific focus on the effectiveness, accessibility, impact, and sustainability of these six Women’s and Girls’ Safe Spaces (WGSSs) across Mena, Koryukivka, Hlukhiv, Lebedynske, Izyum, and Lozova.  Funded by the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund, the project aimed to ensure that women and girls in conflict-affected and rural communities have access to lifesaving, survivor-centered gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and response services, in line with international standards of care. It also sought to enhance local capacities for GBV response through joint implementation, stakeholder coordination, and structured training for humanitarian actors and local authorities.
