Complete Comprehensive Assessment In Ukraine

This comprehensive needs assessment is commissioned by the Terres des Hommes Netherlands for Scruples Research to conduct a thorough context analysis of Ukraine, identify key areas of need and existing gaps in both humanitarian and development interventions along with the detailed analysis of child exploitation areas. This assessment aimed at providing a detailed understanding of the challenges and opportunities for impactful programming. The assessment is conducted between November 2024 February 2025 in Kyiv, Lviv and Chernihiv Oblasts. The assessment employed a qualitative methodology, conducting a total of 34 Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) and 12 Focus Group Discussions (FGDs). Of the KIIs, 25 were held with external stakeholders, including staff and management from TdH NL, TdH Italy, TdH Lausanne, and the Sincere Heart Foundation, as well as government officials, representatives from UN agencies and the Child Protection Sub-Cluster, local and international NGOs, civil society organizations, community leaders, social workers, and child protection specialists. The remaining 9 KIIs were conducted with children aged 12-17, ensuring diverse representation by including one child from the Roma community, one LGBTQAI+ child, and one child with disabilities in each location. Additionally, the assessment team facilitated 12 FGDs, structured to include one group with girls, one with boys, one with female caregivers, and one with male caregivers in each oblast.
